Abuse, I hate it!

In January of this year, 2015, my daughter, Sheri and I decided to write together sharing with you a simple journey to knowing God better today than before or at least whetting the appetite to dig into His Word to know Him better. Hopefully, by now you have discovered that we are not perfect and are not professional writers. I smile as I write this because I often criticize “Me” more than others criticize me.  To know God is a journey which is continual and constant. It is daily digging and digging more into the very Words of our Lord. Without believing that the Word of God (Bible) is truly the inspired Word of God, you cannot get to know Him. They are inseparable. If you have tried that, depending on someone else to “tell” you what it means, then friend, you have missed a great blessing! God so desires for you to get to know Him!

Women face a variety of new issues today than they did a few years back.  To have a woman running for President was unheard of and now we have more than one woman wanting to run this country!  I laugh because more than one woman in a situation like the Presidency could get pretty dangerous as the power struggle begins.  Oh me!  In my lifetime, I have gone from a big box of black and white TV to holding a small technological device in my hand, taking it all over the house and watching full color TV! I could make a list of many changes within the last 50 years, but some things NEVER change. Abuse……especially sexual abuse. I hesitate to even mention this topic, but you the reader may be a victim or know someone who is hurting very badly and feel trapped.  You may be in leadership in your church and you have noticed some questionable behavior or seen some signs which caused you concern.

When a child is sexually abused most of the time they feel powerless and hopeless.  As they grow into their precious teens confusion, anger, guilt, fear and shame may surface causing more problems in relationships with parents, friends, dating and if not dealt with, will follow into the marriage.
What does God say? The Word of God is the beginning of all truth. Remember that. Everything depends on you believing that one statement.

God loves you whether you are the victim or the one inflicting hurt upon another. He loves you!
1John 3:16 Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
John 3:17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
Satan condemns but God loves and offers forgiveness of sin. The two scriptures,
IJohn 3:16 and John 3:16 can be remembered FOREVER and offers a new life for the believer!

1John 4:9
In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.

He despises your sin if you are the one inflicting this kind of pain upon another and knows you cannot be released from it without His help. That simply means the process of regeneration or being born again.

Study Titus 3.  This chapter will help you understand this process. Being born again brings change and if there is no change and you find yourself in deep sin, over and over with no need for repentance and help, then it is time to check out your salvation.

You cannot go back into your Mother’s womb, but you can choose for Christ to forgive you of your sin and indwell you supernaturally. You see, it is called SIN. All sin can be forgiven by God through Jesus Christ except the unforgivable sin, also known as the blasphemy of the Holy Ghost. Don’t allow someone to tell you that you cannot be delivered, that you were born this way! Friend, we are ALL born sinners regardless of the name of it and the truth of it is this, “YES, you can be delivered! You can be forgiven. You can become whole and used of God.” Don’t believe Satan’s condemning words!

Mt 12:31 Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men.

Rejecting the conviction of the Holy Spirit over and over and over could possibly lead to blasphemy against the Holy Spirit. Paul blasphemed but did not commit the unpardonable sin.  There is a difference, so don’t get confused.

To the victim……God loves you and has a plan. Do you know what to do next? Are you willing to forgive? Do you blame yourself for someone’s sin against you? It is NOT your fault. That is a lie from the evil one and enemy of God.  Satan wants you to be confused but you don’t have to be. People choose to sin and the choice to stop is only through the power of the Holy Spirit! You have to make a choice as well, and that may mean to get someone else involved. Do you have someone with whom you can talk to? Do you trust your Pastor, your Youth Pastor’s wife, your school’s counselor? Maybe, you could private message Sheri or me.You do NOT have to be alone in this entrapment.

Now, here is where you and I can get to know God better…….He will tell you what to do. Do you believe that?

This blog must be continued because of the length of it.  God has impressed upon my heart to write this and I must be obedient. I am not qualified but His Word is and because of Him, change and help will come about…so, until next time, Lord willing.
